We are back from the mountain and oh what a wonderful time.
The weather was AMAZING!
Seriously, the high stuck around 70 and it felt oooooh soooo good!
We arrived Wednesday afternoon
and returned home Sunday night.
I'll let most of the pics speak for themselves.
Lots & lots of walks.
On Thursday morning we walked to the pond.
Ok, seriously could this pic of my 2 boys be any more adorable!
We brought Bailey with us. She was nervous and refused to even leave the van when we arrived.
But by the next morning she was feeling a little more comfortable :)
Another favorite of Katelyn was her "blue walk". There are blue signs that help you along the path and she loved pointing them out and following the path :)
And they were so excited to find this tall plant with such soft leaves.
Mack has become a pro at crossing the cattle guards :)
The kids played hard every day and Katelyn crashed hard in her chair.
On Friday more family arrived.
That morning Scott & I took a little horse ride together and very much enjoyed ourselves.
I was so happy we could bring Bailey with us.
Our entertainment for most of the trip was the zip line Scott and Ammon, with the help of others (special thanks to Cody and his gypsy cowgirl sister), put together. It was a TON OF FUN!
On Saturday morning we ate a yummy breakfast.
Then we had our family pictures at the rebuilt homestead.
Katelyn loved her gold bat.
I can't get over how green the mountain was. it was seriously beautiful.
We ended the game and made it back to camp just in time because another storm hit.
Saturday night we ate and had our raffle (for our family missionary fund)
Landon won some beenies.
Katelyn and Mack each got one and Landon even shared one with our little 8 wk old cousins.
For the children's games we decorated cookies, played balloon games, and lots more.
Mack won a harmonica and Katelyn won the grand prize.
A giant lollipop!
A good game of Risk & Rummikub kept us entertained the rest of the afternoon.
Then, later that night we were in charge of FHE and my Mom put together a giant Minute To Win It.
It was a lot of fun, and I don't think any of us have laughed so hard.
I so wish I was videotaping them!!
Of course marshmallows were the perfect treat before bed time.
Sunday was such a beautiful day.
We went down to Vernon for sacrament meeting.
They switched up the bishopric and it was wonderful to be a part of it.
Then the family had a testimony meeting and I don't think the spirit could have gotten any stronger.
I have such a strong love for the moutnain and for my family.
I feel so blessed to be a member of The Church of Jesus Christ of Later Day Saints.
I have such a testimony of eternal families. We will truly be together forever and it is such a comforting feeling.
It was so wonderful to leave the "world" this past week and focus and the really important things in life.
