Welcome Bridget

Bridget's Birth Story

Monday June 18th
I was scheduled to be induced @ 8:00 pm @ Banner Gateway Hospital.
I spent the day doing some last minute errands, cleaning, and resting. I had some sharp pains throuought the day but no contractions. Around 4:30 pm I received a call from the hospital saying I would be delayed and to check back @ 7:30 to get a better estimated time for my induction.

@ 7:00 I started having some contractions that were about 10  minutes a part. I called the hospital to check in. They said it would most likely be in the morning to come down.
My mom was @ the Temple with Andrew and Marianne helping with wedding pictures. When she was done she came and got the kids to sleep over at her house.

Scott & I watched a movie and rested on the couch.
By 9:00pm the contractions were 3 mins apart, but the length of the contraction, went from long to short and back to long. I called the hospital to say I was coming down, but the gal I talked to sounded unsure that I should be coming and that confused me- um and bummed me out......
I waited 3 more contractions and couldn't take it anymore

When we arrived, I was 5 cm. They called my Dr for orders and then they started me on antibiotics because I tested positive for Strep B.

They wheel me into a room, checked me again & I was 6 cm at this point. I requested my epidural- oh Heaven!
... Well, almost.
The epidural didn't take in the area where my contraction was killing me the most.
So they gave me a stronger dose which completely gave me dead legs- weirdest feeling ever!

Within an hour I was fully dilated
This was about 11:45pm I think.

We called my sis Cami to come down and the Dr was called.

When everything was ready we waited for a contraction so I could start pushing.
I seriously think we waited almost 2 minutes, then one finally came. I pushed 3 times and the contractions was over..... I asked if I could just keep pushing and went for it. 2 more pushes and she was out.

She had the chubbiest cheeks ever and was beautiful!

She was born June 19th 2012 @ 12:24am @ 8 lbs 10 oz and 21 inches.
Scott cut the umbilical cord and I immediately got to hold my precious little Bridget.
I anxiously awaited to see Scott have his 1st moments with Bridget and I got to see that when he stood by her side as she was being cleaned and measured.
Such tender moments.
I only received a 1st degree tear, but the bruising and major swelling made it miserable.
Since the antibiotics for the Strep were not in me long enough before Bridget arrived we needed to get some blood work done on Bridget to have cultured and needed to stay in the hospital 48 hours.

I enjoyed my along time with Bridget but what I was most excited for was Katelyn & Mack to met their new sister.
Scott had gone home to sleep around 2:30 in the morning and around 10:00 he came back to the hospital and Cami brought the kids.
The kids were thrilled to meet Bridget, oh I wish I could have bottled up their facial expressions!
Our very 1st family photo
Mack tried feeding Bridget his grapes :)
oh he loves her already!
And Katelyn was simply a natural @ holding her

Just look at those eyes!
We had lots of visitors
Somehow didn't get a picture of my Dad who came with all the boys, so that one's coming soon!

Wednesday Katelyn had a low grade fever and said her tummy hurt.
So they didn't come visit me in the hospital.
Wednesday evening Cami & Ammon babysit them so Scott could come down to see us.
Thursday morning I was discharged around 10:00 and Scott came and took us home.
I was so anxious to get Bridget to her home.
Brig and Emily came over to babysit Katelyn & Mack for us.

When I walked in the door the kids ran up to see us and give hugs.
Immediately Katelyn thought it was so cool that my tummy was small again ;)
And then the goofiness started.
That has been the personality of choice with Katelyn & Mack.
They have both turned into goofballs.

Our 1st night went well. Bridget slept for 4 hours at the beginning of the night, then was off and on till morning.
Friday evening we had the wedding Dinner for Andrew & Marianne- Bridget's 1st outing.
She did well, but was over stimulated and that night was miserable.

Saturday was wedding day.
Grandma Ray came over to babysit while we went to the Temple.
It was such a beautiful Sealing and Scott & I had a tender reminder of our beautiful marriage to each other.
(I love you Scott!!!)

The sealer is a friend of my Grandpa Banks, who is serving in Adam ondi Ahman right now.
He had called him and asked him to deliver a hug to me after the sealing.
Love you Grandpa!

The reception was a blast- seriously so fun!
Not sure how I have managed, but this recovery has been easier- or i have gotten stronger, not sure which?

Katelyn & Mack each received baby dolls, strollers, a crib, and bottles so they could take care of their babies. Katelyn liked playing Mommy now :)

Lots of nap taking, lots of goofiness, and lots of love.... well, some tears too, but not too bad.
We love her to pieces!
We love our new family of 5

{Brig & Emily's Big Wedding Day}

The day started out w/ my parents and I completing things for the luncheon/. My parents Rock!! They worked so hard to get things perfect.

Brig & Emily were sealed for All Eternity @ 12:45. Brig surprised Emily w/ a wedding band- So cute:). We went to the luncheon afterward, which the food was amazing by the way.

We ran home to change for the reception & took a bunch of family pictures.
The reception was so beautiful & was packed. We had crepes and a humongous chocolate fountain.

Here is Katelyn's adorable dress that my friend Cherisse made. Katelyn was the cutest one there (except for Emily, of course)
Katelyn had so much fun- seriously she did so good. She only had a 20 min nap all day long. I think it was from all the sugar:)

Our happy little family. Just look at that stud:)

After the reception, Camille, Britney & I went to the hotel to decorate. It was beautiful!
Congrats Brig & Emily!
We love you both:)

{Our 3rd Anniversary}

March 2nd 2006 was the best day of my life.
This is our story.....
Scott & I were friends in high school, we hung out practically every weekend.  I wrote him a few times while he was out on his mission in Santiago, Chile. He returned home in May 2005 and it only took a few weeks when we became inseparable.
We dated 5 months and then he proposed to me on November 14th 2005 in Cortez Colorado.
We were married Thursday March 2nd 2006 in the Mesa, AZ Temple.
Sealed together for time & All Eternity to my Best Friend
We had most of our wedding pictures taken the week prior. I'm so glad we did.
Here comes the Bride.
Here comes the Groom
Our reception was that same night at the provincial Garden @ The Wright House.
Everything was so beautiful and exciting.
Here is our cake
Our rings & flowers (even though my star gazer lilies failed to bloom in time. However when we returned from our honey moon the flowers were breathtaking)
Our 1st Dance (I don't even remember what the song we chose, is that bad?)
Our families came together
My Bridesmaids, Jen & Camille (my sis)
Scott's Groomsmen, Patrick, Brent (his Bro), Shane, Dalan
I LOVE this picture!
We had sparklers glittering everywhere as we left- So beautiful!
We drove Scott's truck to the reception; (my brother had a ball decorating it). Then we drove home to change clothes & swap cars.
We drove to Sedona that night and stayed in a beautiful lodge with the most romantic room.
We enjoyed relaxing, hiking, and just spending time together.

Scott is the Love of my life and I am so grateful that we are to spend the rest of our lives together. I am so excited to experience new thing w/ him while we take our journey.
Happy Anniversary Babe!
