This Guy

I'm Loving this guy more & more every day.
Last night we watched some of the "Notebook" on tv & a flood of memories came back.

More than 6 years ago I was a girl with a crush.
One night this guy invited me over and we watched the "Notebook". Then this guy tried to kiss me. Oh boy was he denied!
I was a little hesitant because I wanted to make sure his feelings were truly there for me.

Moments later he took me outside and we danced under the porch as a soft rain began to fall.
And he kissed me.
Our 1st kiss!

I fell in love and have been falling for this guy ever since.

I Love you Scott, More than words can express.
You are mine forever and nothing could make me more happy.
(And you still give me butterflies)
XOXO

Our Spectacular Getaway

Scott had to work the morning shift on Friday so we didn't leave until 11:00 & arrived in Greer a little after 3:00.
on the drive up I would see tons of snow....and then barely any.....and then tons again.....and then barely......ect. We pulled into greer and I was amazed how many cabins had been built since the last time I was there, (12 yrs ago), I was pretty disappointed!
We checked in, unpacked and decided we were going to make the most of it.

We started out on a little hike
We climbed trees
Scott showed off his awesome boots. ha ha!
and on the way down he totally slipped on the ice and fell pretty hard, luckily he was ok because it was hilarious!
We went to the 373 Grill for dinner and ordered some awesome burgers. They actually tasted like Beef (we were sure they had just slaughtered the cow that day:)

After dinner we attempted to look at stars, but we couldn't fingure out how to use the darn thing. Oh well, we still have fun trying.
Martinelli glasses in hand, cuddling on the couch and watching movies before bedtime.
Saturday was going to be fun!
We woke up early and picked up all our stuff for a day of snow fun.

We found a good spot to hike in our snow shoes.
I have never truly seen the point of these things, pretty much because I had never used them before. They are awesome!
We found some icicles,
which was perfect because we were thirsty.
It was actually a really warm day and we were seating by the end of our hike.
We built a snow man (Scott had a little fun with the 1st pic)
The 2dn pic turned out a little better ;)

Our next activity was cross country skiing.
This was fun!
it actually hurt my knees to start out with and then I got the groove down.
Going up hill was the absolute hardest and then coming back down was very intimidating :)
Still don't know how those olympic guys do it all on flat land- crazy hard!
(but still super fun)
We found Mack's dinosaur in the car so decided he should join in on the fun so we could show the kids.
We ad such a fun time and I can't remember laughing this hard in a long time.
Lots of hiking later that afternoon
A walk before dinner
and beating Scott at games :)
I am so glad we were able to take this trip together.
Scott & I realized how much fun we still have together and how much we are each others best friends. We laughed until we cried and thoroughly enjoyed this quality time together.
Love you Babe!
Here's to 5 years :)

We took lots of small video clips
We are pretty dorky, but we keep ourselves entertained :)

Last Day of 2010

Mack started out today with his favorite cereal
(this kids cracks me up!)
and Bailey was sleeping a little too close under his chair :)
Scott & the kids braved the cold weather and bundled up to play outside because Mack was begging & pleading.
Under 50' in Mesa AZ is just wrong.
Scott & I went on a double date
(I scored a ton of hand-me-down clothes today! Thus a new wardrobe)
with our good friends Shane & Anamine.
Grandma Ray babysat the kiddos and we did sparklers when we came back to pick them up.
The kids ended the day jumping on the beds.
Out last family picture of 2010.
Wow! That's kinda sad to say :(
Now the kids are off to bed & Scott & I will try to stay awake watching movies until 12:00 to watch the ball drop :)
Happy New Year!

To Blythe & Back

Scott & I went on a little road trip on Thursday to Blythe, California. We took on a small job to pick up some cabinets.
We took the company van + gas card + a gift card for drinks
= 5 hours of the open road and just the two of us

We crossed the border.....
Picked up what we came for & made some sandwiches in the parking lot.....
and 20 minutes later crossed again back into AZ.
Scott drove the whole way & we kept each other occupied by just acting stupid :)
We also took in all the AMAZING scenery ;)
And then made it back home.
Yep we even missed the snow, can you believe it?!?!?
At least Katleyn & Mack got to see it from Grandma & Grandpa Nicoll's house.
Thanks for babysitting Mom!

Our Anniversary (cont.)

Scott woke up to the house being heart attacked with little love notes written on them, & a pile of candy bars.
I was so secretive during the night.
I made a big breakfast & we got ready for the day.
Cami came to babysit so Scott & I could go out to lunch.
Before we left we posed with my fake wedding bouquet.
We went to Charleston's for a yummy lunch.
We just talked & talked & talked. It was wonderful!
On returning home, Katelyn proudly showed off her artwork project she & Cami had made for us.
Scott left for class & I enjoyed a visit from Brig & Em. Em made me these delicious & gorgeous cupcakes! I love the writing on them!
Thanks Em!
These 4 yrs have brought so many ups & downs & I can't wait for more.
I love you Scott!

Barbies, Brownies & Binky's.....

I picked up all my barbies from my parents home over the weekend & I had so much fun going through all of them. Some were more recent barbies & accessories that I began collecting in my early teens and some were originals that i received when i was very young.
For example the 1st barbie I remember receiving is Dr. Barbie. My parents gave her to me when I was very young (between 3 & 5), when i got my tonsils taken out. While i don't remember which barbie is actually her, & the outfit is missing- I still have a few of the accessories and I love them!
This is some of the furniture my parents made me to go w/ my 1st Barbie house.
This seriously brings back so many memories!

Because of the beautiful weather it seemed perfect to do some baking- but apparently I wasn't fast enough cause Scott jumped to it & made some brownies from scratch.
Seriously there is nothing more entertaining that watching Scott cook/bake.
Here is his finished product
They were scrumptious!
By the end of the evening on Sunday Katelyn decided to take her Binky's out of hiding and popped one in each of our mouths- It was hilarious:)
I sucked on that thing for a while (Katelyn got upset when we took it out of our mouths).
I don't get what babies see in this thing-It hurts my mouth after a while.
I guess that's why Katelyn never liked it either.
P.S. Katelyn is having extremely painful tummy problems & finally exhausted herself out.
Wish us luck w/ getting through this.
It's so sad to watch her in so much pain.
