It's NUT Season!!!

Do you even have any idea how excited I am?!?!?!
I made my way over to Superstition Market and shrieked with excitement when I saw they had finally arrived.
There is nothing better than sitting in my recliner in my PJ's all bundled up and crackin down on these little guys. Oh, I just Love It!
My favorite are the walnut & pecans, however I think I may venture out and try some new ones when I go to refill my stash.

Happy Nut Season!

~Trapping In The Heat~

All of you who have been in my home, know that it is an older home- hence NO INSOLATION!
so we get even more of the outside cold seeping into our home.
And the two coldest rooms in to home are our bedrooms.
So i thought, "How can i solve this chilly problem?"
Rather than cranking up the heat even more I decided to close the vents in the rooms we didn't need to stay as warm.  Again because the home is so old the vents would not budge. I tried everything to close them, but no luck. So duck tape came to the rescue.
I taped off the kitchen vents and the 1/2 bathroom.
I did this yesterday and totally felt a difference last night.

Is this tacky or what?!?!?
I think not, i consider myself just an excellent problem solver :)

~It's That Time Of Year~

To turn on your heater.
We finally had to break down and turn on the heater last night. Oh how i loved not running anything these past few months- our utilities bill was exactly half what it usually is.
Yesterday morning we woke up to our house being 64'. Yikes! Freezing, i know.
For right now we have it set @ 67' at night & 65' during the day (when no one is home)
Have you turned your heater on yet?
What's the setting?
