THE REAL FUN BEGAN.....
@ 10:00 pm we were in my car and i was driving south on Stapley toward Brown, when a driver sharpley swerved into my lane behind me nearly missing my back bumper, i swerved out of the way and then slowed down to let him pass. His driving was horrable; he was unable to stay in his own lane and he was randomly using his blinkers & brakes. We decided that he had to be under the influence and CALLED 911. We turned east on Brown, then South on Barkley, where he stopped in front of a house and truned off his lights.... we drove three house down and pulled into a driveway. W/in minutes a cop turned down the street and the driver took off (W/out his lights on) then he pulled over @ the end of the street. A few minutes later another cop arrived and then another........(The dispatcher said we should stay there because the cops would need our statement) after waiting for 20 min or so, My mom & I walked over; just as they were placing him into one of the cop cars. We notified them that we were the ones that made the call and he gave us the paperwork for our statements. When we were about done one of the cops came over to thank us for making the call-a few minutes prior to our call they recieved another call stating that the same vehicle was driving down the wrong side of the road, and He was an EXTREME DUI CASE . And then the cop told me the the man stated that he had just dropped of his kids.
It amazes me that people can be so stupid and put themselves into these situations. We were so glad that nothing more serious took place, and that no one was injured. & to think we might not have called this in- if we hadn't, who nows what could have happened.
Watch out for those crazy stupid people out there!!!
