Brace yourselves.
Here is some "randomness" from the last few weeks.
A pic from Lehi Days
Thank goodness for the little chicks on the side of the road. it's made the trip all worth it.
Driving to lunch.
Poor Bridget got into a fight with the couch legs.
But oh, just look at that adorable face :)
Cowboy boots and a stars wars shirt.
Yep, that pretty much sums up my side of the family :)
Rainy day
The wind was the best part.
Seriously these facial expressions....
These poses.... These better come back out for our next family picture
My sweet little leia was not doing well.
She had stopped eating and a few days later passed away.
This is the last time I saw her.
I had found leia (or she found me) one day after school she was in our yard. I gave her milk and of course she eventually turned into our pet.
That was 15 years ago.
We will miss you Leia
(the boys named her, of course after Star Wars)
Bridget was playing and found herself stuck :)
Katelyn came to the rescue.
Scott was giving Bridget a bath and kept calling my name.
I finally responded & found this :)
I hung a new shelf :)
Kinda digging the yellow and black.
And yes, desperately in need of a new family pic.
Well, Scott was working in San Francisco and thought it would be fun for me to come spend a few days with him.
Lots of mixed emotions!
Leaving the kids, especially Bridget whom I am nursing.....
My sister Cami & her family stayed @ our home with the kids, and just about everyone else helped taking turns each day caring for the kids.
Huge thank you!!!!
I arrived Wednesday.
I was alone, new place, new airport, taxi!, hotel.
I was soooo out of my comfort zone & my anxiety was overwhelming.
Scott met me in the lobby and all I wanted to do was get up to the room, put on my pj's and crawl into bed.
Yep, it was pretty bad!
(At least crying and wearing a blue shirt makes my eye color pop. Haha!)
Scott worked till 9:00, and by then I had calmed down a bit.
Poor guy- I'm sure not what he was expecting when his dear wife came to see him.
Thursday we ate breakfast (room service), it was the best fruit "salad" I have ever had.
Scott went to work (about 7 floors above me)
I went to the gym, lounged in my room,
Then went to the lobby to lounge and guess who I saw?!?!? Guy Fieri!!! (ya know, bleached, spiked hair from diners drive ins and dives)
I was star struck.
He and his entourage sat right across from me. Super cool- my 1st a-list celebrity encounter.
Unless you count Lyn Sue Cooney from channel 12 news who I ran into at a boutique ;)
Scott came and met me for lunch, then I lounged some more. Lots of lounging.
And let me tell you. "pumping and dumping" NOT FUN!
I was still having some issues and didn't want to even venture out of the hotel on my own.
oh, and seriously I was dressed in my colors for summer.... the rest of San Fran was still wearing their winter blacks- I stood out big time.
I eventually think I walked across the street and picked up some dinner for myself, and lounged some more till Scott finished @ 9:00.
I cried myself to sleep that night. Missing the kids, knowing they were ok, well, hoping they were ok, especially my sweet Bridget.
Scott was my super hero and reassure me that everyone was doing well, and held me close.
I have such an amazing husband.
Whenever he had to meet with someone he would quickly pop in to our room for a kiss, and then was off again.
So thoughtful :)
And in between those surprise visits I "people watched" from my window. There are some weird people in this world ;)
Friday I went to the gym, met Scott and his co-workers for lunch, lounged and Scott finished work @ 4:00.
We walked around the city, got some dinner.
Scott had been craving BBQ wings for weeks. We found the perfect restaurant and stuffed ourselves silly.
We went back to the room and watched Les Miserables, (almost borderline too much singing for me,
but I still really liked it).
Saturday Scott worked for 4 hours, I went to the gym, then got ready for the afternoon.
@ 12:00 we headed out.
We walked through China Town.
Desperately looked for a bathroom @ one point;)
Went to a really good pizza joint for lunch.
And continued on to Pier 39.
(Breathtaking! The flowers were GORGEOUS!!!!)
Sea lion watching,
VERY WINDY.
Haha, it took us 3 attempts to get a picture without my hair in Scott's face :)
ice cream,
oh, I love this guy!
and walked to Ghirardelli Square.
Amazing views
That's Alcatraz in the background.
(we went their almost 5 years ago)
Coolest Trees.
I wish I would have taken more pictures of the homes. I loved them all.... but would NEVER want to live there. ;)
Check out this church!
Then after was seems like hours or walking (well I guess it was hours of walking) we made it back to our hotel.
Our poor feet were throbbing, but we enjoyed the entertaining walk.
Oh I just kept looking at Scott and falling in love with him all over again throughout our entire walk.
It was such a great day together. No one to worry about except us. It was nice to have that, since we all know with kids it's hard to have that quality time together.
Sunday came. I would be going home.
I had done my research and located a church building about 2-3 miles away.
Prior to our Saturday walk to the pier I though we could easily walk to church. um, nope!
These are NOT easy miles walking through the city. It left me astonished that there really are not LDS members in San Fran or at least not a lot of them. Mind boggling, for this girl coming from Mesa where there is a church almost on every corner.
I left for the airport around 12:00. It was a hard goodbye, but tried to stay brave for Scott, and he for me.
Scott, I LOVED spending this time together.
My heart is full and I can't wait for our next trip together.
I Love you Babe XOXO
********
And nope, this post is not over yet!
Guess who is 9 months today!!!!!
I truly can't believe my baby is 9 months!
I'm just gonna call this our 9 month photo shoot.
Sorry Bridget, When Katelyn was born we did a photo shoot every 2-3 months, and Mack about every 4-5 months, um, we did your new born's.... and that's it.
I need to get on the ball!
Bridget is finally starting to sleep through the night.
Maybe waking up around 4am or so, but then after a feeding goes back to bed.
Eating everything she gets her hands on.
other than the obvious baby foods, she loves goldfish, pancakes and ice cream. The 3 food groups ;)
She is standing on her own, but no steps yet.
She will hit you if you try and wipe her nose :)
She is kinda turning into a little diva already.
Her attack mode ;)
She has 1 tooth on the bottom and the 2nd is just about to break through
1st pony tail.
Hahahaha, oh I just love it, it cracks me up.
We've got a ways to go.
Come on girl!
Grow some hair already :)
I love you my sweet little Bridget.
You are my Sunshine and bring me so much joy.
(now, stop growing up so fast)
